StateTaxAdd exists for one job: help someone estimate US sales tax from a statewide base rate, with an optional typical local combined rate, and reverse a tax-included total when needed.

The site is a static Astro build. Rates live in the repository. The calculator runs in your browser. There is no account, no database, and no paid tax API. That is a feature: you can read every number we use on the methodology page.

It is also a limitation. If you need invoice-ready, ZIP-level, product-aware collection, use registered software or a qualified professional. We say that on every calculation surface.
